When I met Tatum and Rob, I immediately knew that their wedding day was going to be three things: fun, beautiful, and filled with an incredible amount of joy! Chatting with them over my fruit tea at Green Frog, it was so easy to see that they are perfect for each other, and their excitement made me even more excited for their big day.

Tatum and Rob met in college at the University of Tennessee at Martin through mutual friends, and Tatum likes to recall telling her mom that Rob was the man she was going to marry, the very first time she brought him home. Well, the rest is history, and on a perfect Saturday in late October, Tatum and Rob said their vows in front of family and friends in the church that Tatum grew up in, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the sanctuary. One of my favorite parts of the day was watching Rob’s face as the song “Marry Me” played in the background as his bride walked down the aisle. It was probably my favorite groom moment that I’ve ever been able to capture! After the ceremony, I was able to snap a few pictures of Tatum, Rob, and their adorable daughter, Ellie Jo, in their first moments as the Winans family of three, and it was such a precious time.

The reception was held at the Opera House in Humboldt, and it was so much fun! The joy was tangible as friends and family enjoyed Tatum and Rob’s amazing first dance, delicious food and fellowship. I stole Tatum and Rob away from the merriment so they could enjoy some alone time in front of the camera right before sunset, and then the dancing continued. At the end of the evening, Tatum and Rob had a beautiful birdseed exit and drove off into forever in Tatum’s grandfather’s old Plymouth, which was one of the sweet ways that his memory was represented on such a special day.

Tatum and Rob, thank you so much for allowing me the honor of capturing your love story! I hold you both close to my heart, and am grateful that I got to witness such a beautiful representation of two souls vowing to stand beside and love each other through anything.
