I walked out of the coffee shop on Saturday afternoon just in time to see the sun breaking through the clouds and I knew that it was going to be the perfect afternoon for Annie and Nick’s engagement session. After weeks of rain and gloom, I was so ready to get out and spend some quality time with the two of them and the sunshine. I was also excited to see their beautiful venue, Madison Downs, and explore the property where they will be getting married in just a few months. And I have to say, I think I am already in love with this place!

I have known Annie and Nick for years, and have literally had the joy of watching them grow up in may ways. And I realize I am very fortunate in this aspect of my business– many of my clients are already special to me before I ever get to photograph them. This makes me feel even more honored and grateful when they ask me to be the one to document their biggest moments. (It also makes me about ten times more likely to cry during those big moments, but that shouldn’t surprise anyone at this point!)

Here are only a few of my favorite images from Annie and Nick’s engagement session. Enjoy!

Annie and Nick are high school sweethearts! Can you believe they have been together longer than I have even known Josh?! They are seriously GOALS.

I can’t get over how GORGEOUS the weather was! Sunshine in early February is hard to come by. Also, I am daydreaming about being back at this amazing venue for their wedding day!

Little’s Jewelers outdid themselves yet again with this BEAUTIFUL ring–that Nick picked out himself!

Just imagine this scene in a few months… Annie in a wedding gown, Nick in a tux, and the sun setting behind them as they dance for the first time as husband and wife. I’m getting chills thinking about it!

Chasing the sunset with these two was cold but well worth it. What a perfect ending to such an amazing session!

Annie and Nick, I love you both and I am counting down the days until we are back at this beautiful venue, celebrating your marriage and dancing up a storm at your reception! Thank you for trusting me with your memories and allowing me to tell your story.
